Thank you for your interest in a KP Studios Portrait Session! Sessions are photographed on location ( I will offer places I like to shoot and if you have anywhere in mind let me know and we can definitely consider your site) or in your home where children are most comfortable. If the location is more than 25 miles from Fort Lauderdale there will be a $25 surcharge. Thanks for understanding!
Sessions generally take an hour and the best time to shoot outdoors are the first couple of hours after sunrise in the morning or in the evening an hour or so before sunset. If this does not work with your child’s sleep schedule we can always find a shady spot that will work. If we’re shooting in your home we can discuss areas of your house that receive nice natural light and at what time the light is best in that area. Of course the most important consideration is when your child is happiest and well rested.
Portrait sessions include a pre-session planning phone call where we discuss what type of session you’re interested in (ie family or just kids), your favorite images in my portfolio so we can determine your photography style, what you’re planning to do with your portraits, session location and wardrobe. We will select a date and time for your session and afterwards will meet for a one on one viewing appointment where you select your favorite images on my color calibrated laptop.
