How to Decorate Your Home with Photographs

Portrait art is a wonderful way to decorate and personalize your home. Many people get overwhelmed when trying to decide how to arrange photographs. Never fear, there are many tools available today including pre-arranged templates that you can hang on the wall. They act as a map and you just hang the pictures where it tells you. Another option is the gallery in a box that stores like Pottery Barn and West Elm sell. Often times though, the gallery in a box is for smaller pictures and I like to hang large prints for a bigger impact. I help my portrait clients select images and plan their wall galleries for portrait art installations that tell their family story. I have created four arrangements with a variety of sizes that are interesting compositions with choices for those that prefer neat arrangements and for those who prefer something a bit more organic. These collections were created to help you decide how to decorate your home with photographs.

Though I like both display styles, I tend to hang more organic arrangements in my home. I'm planning a portrait art installation for my home office that will include some pictures that I have taken as well as art that I have purchased and a piece that was given to me by a friend. These additional pieces are works of art that I love and make me smile every time I look at them. When assisting clients select images from their session my intention is to create portrait art to hang in their home because people deserve to be surrounded by beautiful images of their loved ones that fill them with happiness and put a smile on their face.

I would love to help create beautiful portrait art for your home. Please email kristin@kristinpotenti.com so we can discuss your South Florida portrait session.
